How Do Counseling Services Work?
Receiving counseling or mental health services for the first time can be intimidating. We work hard to make the process as comfortable and inviting as possible for all of the clients who walk through the doors of Family Service of El Paso.
Your counseling process includes an initial assessment between the client and therapist. Then, you and your therapist will generally meet on a weekly basis until treatment goals are met. The average client attends six sessions.
Our therapists place an emphasis on the five domains of healthy living, which are: sleep, exercise/movement, nutrition, socialization, and scheduling leisure activities. Our therapists will help you learn the value of each and create behavioral activation schedules that will keep you on track.
We provide mental health services at the Family Service of El Paso Counseling Center located at 6040 Surety Drive. Services are offered Monday through Thursday, 8am to 8pm, and Friday 8am to 7pm.
